Membership and Operation

The founding members of the ANS are 3Com, Cisco Systems, Hewlett-Packard, Alcatel-Lucent, Microsoft, McAfee, Hitachi Data Systems, Novell, Juniper Networks, PGP and Sun Microsystems. ANS membership is open to other high-tech companies that share the founding members’ mission in furthering encryption export control relief. ANS members will meet periodically and informally to discuss the organization’s strategy. A Steering Committee will meet more frequently to discuss tactics for implementing that strategy.
